General Manager – Vietnam

H&HIS’s client is a global freight forwarding company. We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of General Manager – Vietnam with the following responsibilities:

Job Description
– Lead the overall business operations in Vietnam, ensuring sustainable business growth and operational excellence.
– Develop and execute business development and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
– Drive branch performance with full responsibility for sales, operations, and profitability.
– Build, lead, and develop high-performing sales and operations teams.
– Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, airlines, suppliers, and logistics partners.
– Collaborate closely with headquarters to implement business strategies, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and maintain effective internal controls.
– Identify market opportunities, expand the customer portfolio, and strengthen the company’s market position in Vietnam.
– Represent the company in Vietnam, serving as the primary liaison with customers, partners, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.
– Monitor business performance, analyze market trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
– Minimum 5–7 years of management experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
– Proven success in business development and sales leadership within freight forwarding.
– Strong understanding of Vietnam’s logistics, import/export, and supply chain market.
– Extensive network of customers and industry partners is highly preferred.
– Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
– Good commercial acumen with the ability to drive business growth and profitability.
– Knowledge of digital freight forwarding and emerging industry trends.
– High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
– Good command of spoken and written English. Additional language proficiency is an advantage.
