Workshop Manager

H&HIS’s client is a company specializing in the production of high-end artistic interior décor in Ho Chi Minh City. We are currently seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Workshop Manager with the following responsibilities:

Job Description
– Responsible for overseeing and optimizing workshop operations (300m², approximately 15 employees), ensuring production timelines, quality standards, cost efficiency, and workplace safety; while continuously developing and modernizing the production system.
– Organize and coordinate workshop activities across multiple craft disciplines (including ceramics, bamboo and rattan weaving, woodworking, and metal fabrication/hand welding).
– Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.
– Supervise production processes and continuously improve labor productivity and overall workshop efficiency.
– Assign tasks, monitor performance, and evaluate the effectiveness of workshop staff.
– Provide guidance, training, and skill development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
– Foster a disciplined, responsible, and collaborative working environment within the workshop.
– Work closely with and manage suppliers of raw materials and semi-finished goods.
– Plan material requirements, control inventory levels, and manage procurement costs.
– Monitor production expenses and propose cost-optimization solutions.
– Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
– Design or improve tools and equipment to support production activities.
– Apply technology and digital management practices to modernize workshop operations.

Requirements
– Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in handicraft manufacturing, furniture production, or related industries.
– Proven experience managing teams of 8–20 members.
– Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost management.
– Strong planning and organizational skills.
– Demonstrated leadership and staff training capabilities.
– Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; basic knowledge of design/graphic software is an advantage.
– Strong aesthetic sense and passion for handicrafts and artistic production.
– Proactive, responsible, and highly disciplined.
– Growth-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to long-term career development within the company.
