HR Business Partner
H&HIS’s client is a company operating in the fields of investment consulting, M&A, and trade promotion based in Hanoi. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of HR Business Partner with the following responsibilities:
Job Description
– Develop and implement the annual recruitment plan aligned with the business strategy.
– Participate in interviews and assess candidates on mindset, competencies, attitude, and cultural fit.
– Build Job Descriptions (JDs) and Competency Frameworks for each position (especially for M&A Advisory, Consulting, and Delivery roles).
– Design and operate the performance evaluation cycle on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
– Establish a structured performance feedback system between managers and employees.
– Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Department Heads: collaborate on revenue–profit planning, 1–3-year organization expansion plans, and organizational design. Determine the required quantity and quality of talent for each growth stage.
– Develop mid-term workforce plans: build headcount plans for each department (M&A Advisory, Delivery/Project, Back-office) and forecast personnel costs/salary budgets based on the company’s financial capacity.
– Design organization and talent structures (People Portfolio): map organizational roles, talent capabilities, succession pipelines, and development plans.
– Build and operate the end-to-end recruitment process from requisition → approval → interview → offer → onboarding.
– Develop and maintain performance evaluation procedures and regular feedback mechanisms.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or related fields).
– Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HRBP, HR Generalist, or Talent Management roles.
– Preferably experienced in professional services, consulting, M&A, Big4, or Japanese corporations.
– Experience working in multicultural and/or multinational environments.
– Strong knowledge of recruitment, performance evaluation, compensation & benefits, and labor regulations.
– Japanese: able to communicate in a business context (N2 or above is an advantage); English proficiency is also a plus.
– Demonstrates a Business Partner mindset: not limited to administrative HR tasks; able to ask challenging questions and professionally challenge the CEO/managers while maintaining a constructive approach.
– Personal qualities: integrity, confidentiality, fairness, and professionalism.
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with frequent changes and high quality standards.
